On May 18, members of Democracy Nashville delivered approximately 9,500 signatures to the Metro Clerk in Nashville, TN. The city requires 6,847 valid signatures from Davidson County voters for a referendum to make it to the ballot. We expect to hear back in the next few weeks on the result of the Election Commission’s verification process. In the meantime, we celebrate having come this far as a completely volunteer-run campaign with an operating budget of less than $1000. This is truly what grassroots people power looks like! Thank you, Nashville, for getting us this far. Stay tuned.
